Fort Rucker Center Library: A Plethora of Information

A  Guest Column by Jessica Zen

Think the Center Library is simply full of paperback books? Think again! Center Library has so much to offer its customers, including E-books, eResources, Transparent Language Online, CDs, audio books, video games, and more.

Want to download an E-book? Simply log on to the Center Library’s online library catalog and start browsing for either educational or pleasure reading.

Need to brush up on your Spanish skills? Rosetta Stone programs are available to patrons with Spanish being one of the most popular. In addition, Transparent Language Online is accessible to everyone on Center Library’s website. It offers basic language courses in 48 foreign languages, and uses other activities to aid in language development.

In order to set up an account online with Center Library, visit the website listed below and click on the “Online Catalog” link. Log in with the e-mail address you provided when applying for a library card. Once you have an account set up, you can put books on hold, make a reading list, and enjoy more resources than paper books can provide.

The fun doesn’t stop there. Children’s Story Time is every Friday from 10:15 – 11 a.m. Children ages 2-5 are able to listen to a story read and enjoy craft time or coloring. A special children’s Craft-Making Activity is held monthly.

Stop by the library today or visit the website online at www.ftruckermwr.com/recreation/center-library/ to get more information on everything Center Library has to offer.
