Rucker MWR Team Spotlight! Our Army Civilians make tremendous
contributions for our Soldiers, their Families, and to our Country. Fort
Rucker MWR has an amazing team of Army Civilians that contribute
greatly to keeping our installation Above the Best. Today, meet our
Center Library team:
Al has been working with Fort Rucker MWR for 14 years. His all time favorite movie is Shogun and his caffeinated
beverage of choice is coffee. You can find him listening to the mellow
sounds of light jazz and in his free time, he enjoys landscaping.
Teresa has worked with Fort Rucker MWR, at the Center Library for about
13 months. Her favorite movie has to be "Airplane!"; she’s seen it a
million times and it still cracks her up. "Happy" and anything by Adele
is what you can catch her listening to, but she also loves the seventies
& eighties. She grew up playing the clarinet in a band and learned
to love all types of music, and she especially loves hearing the piano
played. Her caffeinated beverage of choice is coffee, coffee, and more
coffee! In her free time she says she enjoys reading of course, and she
also collects depression glass and enjoys spending time with her family.
Jackie has been with Fort Rucker MWR for 18 months. Her all time
favorite movie is The Sound of Music and she enjoys all kinds of music.
Dr. Pepper is her caffeinated beverage of choice. She says her family is
from Texas, so Dr.Pepper is a must! In her free time she enjoys reading
and binge-watching TV shows on Netflix and Hulu; BBC’s Sherlock is her
most recent obsession.
Martha has been with Fort Rucker MWR
for 1.5 years. Her all time favorite movie is Dirty Dancing and she
loves all types of music. Her caffeinated beverage of choice is coffee
and in her free time she enjoys working out in the yard.
Shannon has been with Fort Rucker MWR for 6 years. Her all time favorite
movie is the Bishop’s Wife starring Cary Grant. One of her favorite
books is “Jane Eyre.” She loves listening to worship music and has
recently acquired a taste for country music as well. In her free time
she enjoys cross-stitching, playing board games and of course, reading!
Jodi has worked at Fort Rucker since September 2013 and really enjoys
meeting everyone. Her all time favorite movie is the 1949 version of
Little Women because of the reminder of the importance of family and
love. When it comes to music, she loves so many types that it's hard to
choose just one, but she has to say that Big Band is her all time
favorite. Coffee always starts off her day in the right direction! When
asked what she enjoys in her free time she says, “Free time? What is
that?”
Laurie has worked for the Army for 31 years, and more
than 20 of that has been with MWR. Her all time favorite movie is Gone
with the Wind. She enjoys listening to southern rock, especially Lynyrd
Skynyrd. Her caffeinated beverage of choice is coffee and in her free
time she enjoys spending time with her husband and 5 grandkids, and
anything outdoors, camping, hiking, and riding motorcycles.
